Delta Shelter

I utilized Rhino 7 to create a 3D model of the "Delta Shelter," a cabin located in Mazama, Washington which won the 2006 Residential Architect Design Awards. Designed by Tom Kundig, this 1,000-square-foot cabin is a steel-clad box elevated on stilts, featuring a design that allows it to be completely sealed when not in use. My replication efforts include the unique opening and closing mechanism of the large steel panels similar to those the actual Delta Shelter. The innovative design really spoke out to me as the design philosophy allows the owner to enjoy the outdoors in the comfort of an indestructible shelter.
